Arnica Montana is a flowering herb, in the Sunflower family. It is a medicinal herb, used for centuries in many cultures for natural pain relief and to promote rapid, clean wound healing. Dried arnica flowers can be made into a poultice, tincture, or infused into oil.
Topical application of Sweetbody Arnica oil may assist the body's natural healing process by stimulating the immune system while providing powerful pain relief and decreasing inflammation.
Arnica is also one of the key ingredients that may promote bug bite relief from itchiness and inflammation.
-
Calendula Officianalis is also a flowering, medicinal herb, in the Marigold family. It is also a medicinal herb, used for centuries in many cultures to decrease inflammation, soothe irritated skin, and promote soft tissue regrowth without the formation of scar tissue. Dried calendula flowers can be made into a poultice, tincture, or infused into oil.
Calendula assists regeneration of healthy skin and soft tissue at the cellular level, and helps the injury site to heal quickly from the inside out.
Calendula is often called "The Mother of the Skin" for its many healing properties.
Calendula is highly anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and is soothing to many itchy or irritated skin conditions.

All Sweetbody Labs’ products contain our proprietary blend of Organic, Herbal-Strength Arnica and Calendula oils. We make both our Arnica and Calendula oils in-house, infused into organic cold pressed olive oil, to ensure an optimal, high-concentration formula for pain relief.
The difference between the Recovery and Grounding blend is the essential oil blends, each carefully formulated for synergy and to support and enhance the properties of Arnica and Calendula. The amount of Arnica and Calendula oils are the same concentration in both products.
Some choose their favorite based on scent/aromatherapy of the blend, others choose based on the specific healing properties of an essential oil in the blend.
Recovery, our original formula, was created to assist the Arnica/Calendula oils in helping to alleviate acute pain and decrease inflammation. This blend contains essential oils to promote rapid relief, expedite pain relief of acute injury, and decrease joint pain. Recovery blend has a fresh, citrus aroma.
Grounding, our second formula, was created to help alleviate pain caused by stress and tension. This blend contains essential oils to promote calming, grounding, and stress relief, and has a stimulating ginger-peppermint aroma.
Many prefer Grounding blend for tension headaches and migraines.
It’s our opinion that Grounding blend is also the better choice for applying to bug bites.

Sweetbody Arnica (and Arnica + Hemp) Recovery and Grounding oils are very versatile and can be applied directly to the source of pain - roll it on where it hurts.
We use the oils for application on sore muscles, stiff joints, chronic pain areas, headaches, and any bumps and bruises.
We use it before and after athletic activity to minimize pain, optimize circulation, and to help improve recovery time from DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness).
We also love using the oil for headache relief - rolling on our temples, back of the neck, around the forehead, or wherever we feel the pain or tension.
Just roll the oil on where it hurts - (DO NOT use internally). The oil can be applied easily using the rollerball, which helps avoid oily hands when you’re on the go, and also works as a mini massage tool.
Our customers and massage clients tell us they feel pain relief in 2-5 minutes after application. Apply the oil as often as needed.

Sweetbody Arnica balm can be applied anywhere on the skin. It works best when rubbed in, and when your tissue is warm - like after a hot shower, exercise, or during massage therapy.
We tell people to "Rub it where it hurts." The balm absorbs quickly for fast pain relief and leaves skin feeling softer and more supple.
We think the balm is the best choice for chronic pain, especially back pain, and for soothing to stiff joints.
We also love to use it as a hand lotion when we have dry skin, and we recommend it to our older clients suffering from arthritis pain in their hands - it may promote pain relief plus moisturize and condition dry and delicate skin.
We use Sweetbody Arnica balm before and after exercise - it’s easier to rub into stiff muscles and joints, and for applying arnica to larger areas of the skin such as low back and hips.
We also keep the balm on hand to soothe itchy or irritated skin moments, take the sting out of sunburns, and to use as an ointment under a bandage for minor scrapes, cuts, and burns.

Everyone’s body is different; so... it depends.
If we have an area of chronic pain, we apply the balm in the morning and at night, where it hurts and also the surrounding area. We recommend applying the balm or oil after a warm bath or shower so it can penetrate deeper and absorb more quickly into the skin and soft tissue.
If we have an acute injury, we may apply as often as needed - multiple times daily.
If we have an injury that is still healing, such as an open wound, we would apply the balm or oil around the edges of the wound. This may help improve healing time and minimize scar tissue.
Once the wound has closed, we would continue to apply and massage the oil or balm into the healing tissue regularly to help the injured area recover with less scar tissue restricting functional movement.
If we are going to exercise or do an athletic activity, we may apply the oil or balm prior to our workout or activity, on the areas that normally get stiff, sore, or otherwise cranky. And we apply again post-event - after a hot shower.
Bottom Line: In our experience, it is ok to apply the oil or balm as much and as often as needed. We (the co-founders) have used the balm in thousands of full body massages, and also apply to our own bodies daily.

Use this text block to discuss some commonly asked questions like shipping and returns, Craft Hemp is flowering cannabis plants that have been cultivated to have high CBD and low THC, below the federal legal limit of .03% delta-9 THC.
Craft Hemp is also strain specific, like ‘regular’ cannabis - made up of a determinable set of terpenes, flavonoids, and cannabinoids. The main cannabinoids for pain and inflammation relief - THC and CBD - exist on a continuum - when one is larger the other will be smaller.
So, Craft Hemp is cannabis plants cultivated to produce very low levels of THC (again, below the legal limit) and higher levels of CBD.
We use strain-specific Craft Hemp flower to make our full spectrum oil.
If you’d like to learn more about CBD, THC, and Hemp, please take this free introductory course from local hemp farm East Fork Cultivars. It’s comprehensive, easy to understand, and we highly recommend it, especially if you have questions about Hemp or CBD. t and company details.

“Full Spectrum” is a term used to indicate that we use whole plant ingredients in the oils we manufacture, and the essential oils we use in our products.
For example, Instead of menthol, which is a chemical compound, we use pure, cold pressed “full spectrum” Peppermint essential oil, which contains menthol.
When applied to Hemp, ‘full spectrum’ means the product contains the full spectrum of cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes that exist in the particular cultivar of the whole hemp flower, or plant, from which the oil was extracted, instead of just the one cannabinoid - CBD. Instead of CBD isolate powder, Sweetbody Laboratories uses the whole Hemp flower in our lipid extraction process.
We use whole plant ingredients to maintain the quality and integrity of whole plant solutions for the whole body.
